About Me
I am 26 years old and I have a degree in child and youth development as well as a degree in elementary education. The requirements for these degrees are deeper here where I live than other places in the world, so I have 7 years of university and a LOT of experience working with children and teens of all ages, backgrounds, needs, and abilities. I use my Raina persona to educate children about their environment, healthy development, and inspire.
In addition to being a mermaid, I also do professional photography and modelling, I am a musician who *has* worked professionally but enjoys it for fun now, Im very passionate about literacy and I love to read, and I’m also passionate about healthy life styles.
I have a few illnesses which I speak about from time to time, but I am currently happy and healthy for the most part. I have a wonderful partner of 5 years who’s very supportive of my mermaid dream.
As a mermaid I perform and speak at birthday parties, festivals, community events, camps, schools, universities, on TV, online, and take part in parades. I also am currently working at a daycare specifically with children who have special needs. I occasionally work at an art gallery and also hope to have my own elementary classroom in the future. I do a LOT of volunteering both in and out of my tail.
