You can mermaid swim in many public pools, lakes, rivers, and if you’re in the ocean just ease yourself into getting some photos at the waters edge by the surf. I understand your fear, we NEVER have great whites, and last year several were spotted and one accidentally killed. You can be a mermaid without swimming in shark infested waters! :D If you’re going to mermaid swim in the ocean, just dont go any deeper than you’re comfortable, and go with a group of others! I know from hearing from women like Hannah that our tails make us look very big to Sharks- often big or bigger than they are depending on your type of tail. She swam with great whites!
